Global Recognition August 30, 2016

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has been awarded the 2016 InnovAction Award for a Client Innovation Portal initiative. The InnovAction Award, presented by the College of Law Practice Management, is a highly coveted and prestigious international award recognizing outstanding innovation in the delivery of legal services.

The Norton Rose Fulbright team responsible for the development of the portal was led by Sukesh Kamra, National Director of Knowledge Management, with assistance from the Knowledge Management & Library Services Team.

The team developed a state-of-the-art client portal solution for in-house counsel focused on delivering innovative, customized and meaningful solutions to everyday problems. The platform allows legal departments to access matter documents, automate certain business and legal processes, conduct more efficient due diligence data analysis and gain better visibility into legal fees on an ongoing basis.

Sukesh Kamra, National Director of Knowledge Management commented:

“Clients are expecting more value-added services from law firms. It’s now seen as a market differentiator for winning legal work and we took that as an opportunity to leverage some of our advanced technology.”

“By creating multi-purpose client innovation portals from a basic deal room platform, we illustrated our entrepreneurial spirit and worked as a team to build an innovative product that resonates with GCs and addresses many of their challenges.”
