Amanda Ferriss is an associate on the business law team, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, technology and general corporate matters. Amanda's practice is focused on commercial and corporate transactions, including technology sector transactions and private and public company transactions, and data, privacy, and information management matters. She has experience advising clients and assisting senior lawyers on complex and large-scale information technology, intellectual property and other transactions, and drafting related documentation, including asset and share purchase agreements, shareholders agreements, and a wide array of information technology and e-commerce agreements such as software licensing, cloud service provider and SaaS agreements.
Amanda also has experience with corporate reorganizations, joint ventures, debt and equity financing transactions, drafting a wide array of commercial documents and conducting due diligence. She works with clients in a wide range of industry sectors, including manufacturing, hospitality, real estate, mining, construction, and technology, more specifically including outsourcing, cloud computing, strategic alliances, technology acquisition and transfer, M&A, licensing, distribution, open source software, privacy and data protection, electronic commerce, cross-border sharing, and storage, incident and breach response and pre-response planning.
Amanda was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2017 after summering and articling with us and clerking at the British Columbia Supreme Court. Amanda was called to the bar in Ontario in 2018.
