Jacek Smardzewski

Jacek Smardzewski is a banking and finance lawyer based in Warsaw. He focuses on advising on capital market transactions and on local and cross-border financial transactions in the banking sector for seven years. Jacek advised many Polish and international financial institutions on borrowings, debt restructuring, regulatory matters and on issues of securities.

He is also experienced in providing day-to-day legal services to business entities. Jacek Smardzewski has gained extensive experience advising clients on debt financing, including securitisation, bank lending and mezzanine finance.

Advised Operator Gazociągów Przesyłowych GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.(GAZ-SYSTEM) in connection with a PLN 2.2 billion financing for the construction of the Gdańsk–Gustorzyn gas pipeline, a key energy infrastructure project in Poland spanning approximately 250 km.
Advised a consortium of Polish banks comprising Credit Agricole Bank Polska S.A., BNP Paribas Bank Polska S.A., Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. and Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski S.A. on a debt financing made available to Farm Frites Poland S.A. The total value of the financing was equal to PLN 98.6 million (EUR 18 million).
Advised AMC V SCA SICAV RAIF, part of Accession Capital Partners (ACP), on significant mezzanine financing granted to eFaktor S.A., specialist providers of factoring services for SMEs.
Advised European Investment Bank on a €42 million financing granted to Maspex Group.
