Webinar

Global | September 23, 2021

Recent years have seen global consumer product safety authorities working together in an effort to keep up with global consumer product companies, with the result that a report of a product safety issue in one country can trigger a duty to investigate in other countries. North America is perhaps the best example of this inter-agency cooperation, as we see the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Health Canada and Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor (PROFECO) frequently working together. At best, this may mean some consistency across borders. At worst, it means we have to assume that whatever one agency knows, the other agencies know.

Please join us for this informative webinar in which we will provide an overview of consumer product safety reporting, recall and enforcement in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Topics will include:

  • Who are the agencies?
  • What are the reporting obligations and procedures?
  • What are the recall procedures?
  • What are the risks of non-compliance?
