Biography

Jess Ong is a corporate lawyer based in London. Her experience covers cross-border and domestic corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, restructuring and general corporate and commercial agreements. Jess practises across a range of industries such as transport, social infrastructure, real estate and renewable energy projects.

She has also advised on multijurisdictional transactions in Asia while on secondment to our Tokyo office. Jess is a native Chinese speaker and can also read and speak Japanese.

  • Advising Tiger Infrastructure Partners, the specialist in growth capital for middle market infrastructure, on its control investment in Rural Broadband Solutions Holdings Limited, a broadband services provider to residential and business customers in rural areas of the UK.
     
  • Balfour Beatty Investments, a subsidiary of Balfour Beatty plc on the auction sale of its stake in three projects in the UK to a subsidiary of BBGI Global Infrastructure S.A.
     
  • Japan Renewable Energy Corporation on its joint venture with wpd AG group on the co-development of the Saikai Enoshima offshore wind project in Nagasaki prefecture, Japan.
     
  • Balfour Beatty Investments on the sale of its 49.5% interest in UBB Waste (Gloucester) Holdings Limited to Urbaser Investment Limited, a subsidiary of Urbaser S.A.U.
     
  • Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha on its joint venture with Knutsen Group on the commercial development of a global liquefied CO2 marine transportation and storage business for the transport of liquefied CO2 at ambient temperature.
     
  • Mitsubishi Corporation on the restructuring of its joint venture with Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha and Toho LNG Shipping Co. Ltd in relation to a collective investment in an LNG Carrier.
