Katelyn Leonard has a broad competition and foreign investment practice. She advises clients on civil and criminal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, abuse of dominance, anti-competitive agreements, and marketing and advertising. She works with clients to obtain approvals under the Investment Canada Act and the Canada Transportation Act public interest review. Katelyn also has an active competition litigation practice.

Before joining us, Katelyn practised commercial and civil litigation with Canada's leading litigation firm. She has experience across a broad spectrum of areas, including both private and public international litigation, class actions, appeals, judicial review applications, shareholder disputes, employment disputes, and professional regulation. Katelyn has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board. She has also worked on Supreme Court of Canada appeals.

Prior to attending law school, Katelyn worked for the Ontario Public Service in various roles advising senior government leaders on business and organizational strategy.
