Video Details

We have launched a new video series – Sustainability Asia. Each week, David Milligan and Nick Merritt, partners in our Hong Kong and Singapore offices, speak to colleagues and clients from across the region about why sustainability matters, how it will shape our markets and what it means for business in Asia.

In this video, David hears from Paul Lingard, Co-Head of Asia Pacific Energy practice based in Perth, and Gavin Scott, corporate and resources partner based in Brisbane, about their work advising the consortium which is proposing to develop the world’s largest green hydrogen project, the Western Green Energy Hub, in Western Australia.

Paul tells us about the sheer scale of the project and its environmental credentials, while Gavin explains the importance of ensuring that the traditional owners of the land, the Western Australian Mirning people, are able to protect their culture and heritage, and also have a true commercial interest in the project.

For more details about the project, please refer to our publication – 'The legal advisor to the consortium behind the world’s largest green hydrogen project, Norton Rose Fulbright, explains what it means for Australia and the global energy transition.'
