Biography
Stuart is a dispute resolution lawyer based in London. He has experience in litigation, arbitration, regulatory investigations and matters concerning business ethics, most notably relating to anti-bribery & corruption, money-laundering and business & human rights.
Stuart has worked on disputes, investigations and risk-management exercises for clients in the financial, extractive, sport and telecommunications sectors, including matters involving criminal and regulatory authorities in the UK, the US and the African continent. He has also worked on matters requiring engagement with the World Bank, sports regulatory bodies and parliamentary inquiries. He gained in-house experience whilst seconded to BP's anti-bribery and corruption legal team.
Stuart advises clients on the implementation of ethics-related policies and procedures and transaction due diligence, as well as engagement with investors and other stakeholders. He participates in panel discussions, guest lectures to post-graduate law students at University College London on the subject of business & human rights, and was a member of the team assisting the UK based BSi Anti-Bribery Committee in drafting the new ISO standard on anti-bribery management systems (ISO 37001).
