Event Details

Seminar

London | February 26, 2019

Perhaps you, or someone in your team, are still quite new to data protection and would like to catch up on the key GDPR obligations and how to comply with them? Or maybe you are deep in the detail of some knotty GDPR issues, but would welcome a refresher on some of the fundamentals?

If so, we hope that you can join us for a half-day session, where we will examine:

Session One - 09:00 - 10:30

  • The GDPR data protection principles: What they are and an overview of how to comply with them
  • Data subject rights: What rights individuals have, when they can exercise them and an overview of the steps you should take when handling requests from individuals

Coffee break

Session Two - 11:00 - 12:30

  • Data breaches: What constitutes a data security breach and what to do when you suffer one, including looking at when you are required to notify regulators and data subjects of the breach and other practical steps you should consider
  • Privacy impact assessments: When they are needed and how to conduct them

Lunch and networking

This session is designed to provide an overview of the key requirements and how to comply with them. We recognise that many attendees may already be familiar with some of the agenda items and will only want to attend some of the sessions. Please indicate on your RSVP if you would like to attend the full half day or just Session One or Two.
