Our social impact programmes are designed to engage and attract socially diverse, high performing undergraduates and graduates.

But the job isn’t done once candidates are successful in getting the role – ensuring our people have the opportunities to grow and develop is just as important.

To mark Social Mobility Day, our people discuss how their backgrounds have impacted their careers, the role models they had along the way, and what advice they’d share to those currently considering a career in law.

Beyond limits

People from where I grew up didn’t necessarily work in corporate or in the spaces that I’m currently in. So when I did come into my career, there was a sense of imposter syndrome.” Massif Sabwe, Solicitor Apprentice

This Social Mobility Day we asked our people, along with teachers about their journeys and how their backgrounds influenced their paths, the role models who inspired them, and the advice they’d give to anyone embarking on their career.

Their stories are a reminder that where you start should never define where you can go, and proof that with determination and support, you can go beyond limits.
