Biography
Marie-France Gagné practises business law with a strong focus on real estate law and the complex issues unique to that industry. She advises clients — including developers, landlords, tenants, and investors — in the planning, structuring, and execution of large-scale real estate development projects and commercial real estate transactions.
Marie-France regularly negotiates and drafts a wide range of commercial agreements related to real estate partnerships, including partnership agreements, development and management contracts, commercial leases, and purchase and sale agreements. She represents both landlords and tenants and has developed leasing templates tailored to the needs of real estate developers, supporting their leasing strategies for mixed-used projects.
Earlier in her career, she worked in the legal department of a major real estate investment trust while completing her university studies. Her role focused on real estate financing, transactional work, and lease drafting.
