India is undergoing a major transformation in its energy sector as it moves towards a more sustainable, secure and diversified energy supply mix for the future.

To meet the country’s growing energy demands and its commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2070 and 500 GW of non-fossil fuel electricity capacity by 2030, renewables and other clean energy projects must accelerate rapidly.

Driving this momentum is robust private sector investment and development finance together with the Indian government, whose policies actively leverage private capital and the innovation and expertise that the private sector brings to clean energy infrastructure.

We are closely monitoring India’s energy transition and will be providing regular updates as it evolves in the country.
