Biography

Louis-Vincent Hébert's practice focuses on commercial and corporate litigation, as well as construction litigation.

In his commercial practice, he has mainly represented parties involved in shareholder disputes before both civil courts and commercial arbitration panels. He has acted in cases involving emergency proceedings, including injunctions and safeguard orders.

He has also been involved in numerous cases in the construction industry, acting for a variety of parties, including developers, general contractors, subcontractors and professionals. He has also counselled insurers on liability, coverage and regulatory issues.

- Shareholders of various companies, both as defendants and plaintiffs, in connection with litigation to obtain control of the company, oppression remedy claims and applications for dissolution of the company

- The Port Authority of Sept-Îles, in defense of a claim for more than $50 million in additional costs incurred by the general contractor in connection with the construction of its deep-water multi-user wharf

- A general contractor involved in a tens of millions of dollars dispute with subcontractors in connection with a multi-purpose sports complex project in the Montreal area

- A foreign general contractor in a dispute in connection with an iron ore project in Quebec's Far North
