  • Advising Infinity Power Holding South Africa on the bid submission of four battery energy storage solution projects under Round 2 of the Battery Energy Storage System Procurement Programme. The Battery Energy Storage System Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (BESIPPPP) Bid Window 2.
  • Advising Infinity Power Holding South Africa on the bid submission of seven solar photovoltaic and wind projects under REIPPPP Bid Window 7.
  • Advising the Sponsor group, comprising of Energy Group, Stanlib, Royal Bafokeng Holdings, PV Holdco (as portfolio borrower), Letsatsi (as Zondereinde Project Company) and Kgololesego (as Eland Project Company) in relation to the financing of the 80MW PV Zondereinde Project and 20MW PV Eland Project each which will wheel electricity to Northam Platinum Limited.
  • Advising Pele Energy Group Proprietary Limited (PEG) and a subsidiary of PEG in relation to the conclusion of a preference share funding transaction with Nedbank Limited and a further preference share funding / debt funding transaction with a developmental financial institution as well as a bridge loan funding transaction with Nedbank Limited.
  • Advised The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited (acting through its Corporate and Investment Banking Division) and Masheqbank psc as joint initial mandated lead arrangers, bookrunners and global coordinators, in relation to a USD255 million facility provided to the state-owned Development Bank of Southern Africa Limited.
  • Advising a development finance institution in relation to a multi-million Dollar senior unsecured facility being provided to a South African Bank pursuant to an English law governed loan agreement, for purposes of financing transactions eligible under the Bank’s sustainability framework, of which 100% will be used for green bond eligible categories.
  • Advised Sandvik Mining and Construction SARL on the sale of their mining services business in the DRC to a newly incorporated entity, and the introduction of a new joint venture partner in the new entity (including a vendor loan), in order to comply with localisation requirements in the DRC.
  • Advising Sandvik in relation to their global acquisition of the Schenck Process Group.
