Biography
Calum Howard is a Senior Risk Advisor based in Canberra.
Calum joins the firm after more than a decade working for the Commonwealth Government, including as a lawyer at the Australian Taxation Office, policy analyst in the Department of the Treasury and most recently, as a senior advisor to a Commonwealth Treasurer, Attorney-General and Minister for Industrial Relations.
Calum has provided legal and policy advice to multiple Cabinet Ministers and contributed strategic and technical input on successful high-profile litigation for the Commonwealth. He has advised public and private sector entities on commercial, procurement and regulatory compliance matters and has substantial experience identifying, developing and delivering public policy outcomes across employment, WHS, industry, science and financial services fields. Calum has conducted post-incident investigations and reviews for Government agencies and has worked with entities in both the public and private sector to review and uplift governance and risk frameworks. He has also directly supported the preparation and delivery of multiple Commonwealth Budgets and worked closely with key Government regulators including the ACCC, ATO, APRA, ASIC, Comcare and the Fair Work Ombudsman.

- Global entity in the resources, manufacturing and energy sector - reviewing, advising and drafting improvements to various internal and external finance, HR and anti-corruption / anti-bribery focused policies and procedures to assist with legislative compliance and organisational risk management.
