Biography
Joshua Sprague is a business lawyer focusing on real estate law with an emphasis on infrastructure development, commercial real estate, municipal planning and development matters, and land use development. He represents and advises companies on a wide variety of matters, including leasing, acquiring, financing and developing real property assets. Joshua also has extensive experience with construction projects and the integration of public and private real property assets. Joshua has advised municipalities and private entities in relation to the development, re-development and financing of mixed-use public-private development projects. Joshua regularly advises financial institutions on loan implementation and documentation, including risk allocation and enforcing delinquent loans.

• Main & Main on the sale of a controlling interest in a 3-tower purpose-built rental apartment development project in Ottawa
• Main and Main on the purchase of 299 Carling, Ottawa, and on the acquisition Financing for 50 The Driveway, Ottawa. Our firm acts as the trusted advisor for multiple transactions with this client, upholding its reputation of creating high-quality urban environments in key Canadian cities
• Brookfield Properties Canada Management LP, as manager and agent for the owners of the Place de Ville Complex in Ottawa (Brookfield), and BentallGreenOak, as manager and agent for the owners of the Sun Life Financial Centre in Ottawa, in the negotiation with the City of Ottawa and drafting of definitive documentation to support the integration of two subterranean LRT station entrances for the Ottawa Confederation LRT line stops at each of the two downtown properties
• Main and Main on the purchase of approximately 1.2 acres of redevelopment land located at 175, 183, 185, 187 & 195 St. Clair Avenue West and 273 Poplar Plains Road for approximately $75 million. This transaction represented a significant land assembly based on size and prestigious location in mid-town Toronto
