Infrastructure, mining and commodities

We assist the world's leading mining and infrastructure industry players. We advise mining and oil and gas companies in the establishment of joint ventures, partnerships, mining conventions, as well as sale and financing of assets.

“What I like about the firm is that in relation to any francophone country the lawyers do the work themselves and get it signed off by local in-country law firms, as opposed to having in-country firms doing the work and sending it on. You never get the feeling that they're not taking accountability and responsibility for the work.” Chambers and Partners 2016

We offer clients in-depth legal advice in project finance/PPP, concession contracts, construction and operation contracts, finance and security documents, secondary market and infrastructure acquisitions, public sector advisory roles, real estate, public procurement and infra funds. We also advise commodities participants throughout the entire cycle of financing and commercialisation and have a solid reputation in complex structured trade and commodities financing.

Our lawyers have significant experience in sub-Saharan and francophone Africa. They possess considerable knowledge of local customs, practices and languages. They are able to operate in civil law francophone jurisdictions. They also assist their clients as regards to OHADA (Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa).

Our Paris infrastructure, mining and commodities team forms an important part of our global IMC practice. Advising on a number of domestic and cross-border transactions, we can draw upon the experience of our IMC lawyers throughout Europe, the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.

As a core sector focus for our global practice, we provide a unique service to our clients, combining our deep industry experience with broad legal knowledge across the full-range of practice areas.
