Norton Rose Fulbright announces George Paterson as global head of banking and finance

Norton Rose Fulbright’s Global Chief Executive Gerry Pecht has appointed Paris partner George Paterson as global head of banking and finance. George succeeds London partner Nick Grandage in leading a banking and finance practice that is recognized among the top 12 worldwide by Chambers Global.

Head of the firm’s Paris office and a member of the EMEA management board, George is consistently recognized as one of the world’s leading aviation finance lawyers in Chamber Global, Chambers Europe and The Legal 500 Europe, Middle East and Africa. He represents banks, export credit agencies and airlines in aviation finance and leasing transactions and has extensive experience in export credit finance coupled with tax-based structures and wide experience in cross-border leasing.

George qualified as a solicitor in Scotland in 1990 and in England in 1992. He qualified as an Avocat à la Cour d'Appel de Paris in 1996 and is fluent in French.
