Biography
Aamir Chherawala practises in our business law group with a focus on securities law. Aamir’s practice focuses on advising public issuers and dealers on domestic and cross-border corporate finance transactions, M&A transactions and other business combination transactions. In addition to his transactional experience, Aamir also works with public issuers on their day-to-day securities compliance and disclosure matters, including advising mining clients of their mineral project disclosure obligations under securities laws and stock exchange regulations.
Prior to joining us, Aamir practised securities law at a leading national law firm.

Aamir has acted in the following matters:
- Tiny Ltd.’s majority acquisition of Serato Audio Research Ltd., $20 million offering subscription receipts and $66 million concurrent private placement of convertible debentures
- Amcomri Entertainment Inc.'s sale of its television and film business for approximately $31 million
- Healwell AI in connection with its brokered private placement of Units for gross proceeds of approximately $20 million
- Sale of US softwood lumber duty deposits on behalf of a Canadian forestry company
- $300 million reorganization and succession transaction for a Canadian pipeline construction company
- Allied Gold Corporation's public listing on the TSX and concurrent financing of US$267 million
- Lithium Americas Corp's strategic investment with General Motors for approximately US$600 million
- Royal Bank of Canada in connection with Capstone Copper and Orion's $431 million public offering
- Integra Resources Corp.'s acquisition of Millennial Precious Metals Corp
- Sandstorm Gold's acquisition of Nomad Royalty Company
