In real estate finance, security over real estate is usually the major credit risk mitigant for lenders. In order to use such credit risk mitigants for capital enhancement, certain requirements with regard to these security interests need to be complied with.
As lenders generally have a very good understanding of the security interests used in their home markets, the purpose of our survey is to provide information for different jurisdictions in which lenders are active.
