We believe in making things better
In 2016, we decided we could make things better for our clients by tapping into three emerging trends:
Advances in the capability and accessibility of legal technology.
The growing sophistication of legal operations models and the rise of in-house legal operations teams focused on these.
A changing regulatory and economic environment, disrupting historic certainties about how legal needs should be met.
This idea was the foundation of NRF Transform
We began by focusing on how we could make the work we had always done more efficiently and effectively. By bringing in new skills and capabilities, we soon found we were able to solve broader client problems. What began as the work of a few pioneers is now a major global program.
We have re-engineered our conventional legal services to be even more efficient and effective.
Our integrated solutions, based on legal know-how and enhanced by technology, help solve broader client problems. We also offer consultancy services covering legal operations and technology.
Asking the right questions to reach the right solution
Process | How can the work be broken down into consistent tasks, and managed in a structured way?
People | What skills and capabilities do we need to build and deliver an optimal process?
Technologies | How can technology be used to drive value, scalability, efficiency, risk management or a better client experience within the process?
Data | Based on the structure in this approach, what insights can be accessed and put to use?
Commercial proposition | Based on the flexibility in this approach, how can the solution be packaged commercially, to align to clients' value, risks and priorities?
NRF Transform: a multidisciplinary team
Alongside lawyers and former lawyers, our team includes project managers, consultants, legal designers, pricing and commercial specialists, service delivery paralegals, and the full range of dev-ops professionals alongside specialist legal technologists.
Our team is distributed globally, with many of our people based in our Houston and Newcastle hubs. These innovative and efficient service delivery centers allow us to focus on working differently. They have grown from small paralegal and document review groups to significant offices with hundreds of staff, helping us to set the bar in terms of what is possible in legal service delivery.

Efficient, cost-effective transaction closing for the world’s largest off-shore windfarm
Norton Rose Fulbright advised a consortium of 29 banks and 3 ECAs on three separate financings of one of the world’s largest offshore windfarms. The scale of the transactions were significant, involving an exceptionally high volume of documentation and conditions precedent. Managing the approvals processes for 29 lenders, alone was a significant challenge.
