Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised a consortium of banks on a PLN 629 million loan facility to be made available to Polish transport company, Przewozy Regionalne sp. z o.o. The purpose of the facility is to enable Przewozy Regionalne to purchase new rolling stock and to modernise existing stock. The consortium included Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, Bank Zachodni WBK S.A., Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski S.A. and European Investment Bank.

Przewozy Regionalne is the largest passenger carrier in Poland for domestic rail travel.

Grzegorz Dyczkowski, partner, Norton Rose Fulbright, comments:

“This deal follows a string of financing transactions that our team has completed this year, which is a significant achievement considering the challenging lending market. We are delighted to be able to assist Przewozy Regionalne in achieving its strategic growth ambitions.”

The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by partner Grzegorz Dyczkowski and assisted by Piotr Milczarek (of counsel), senior associates Tomasz Rogalski and Joanna Braciszewska-Szarapa, associates Maksymilian Jarząbek and Konrad Leszko, as well as paralegal Adrian Więsław.

The team advised the lenders throughout the transaction and negotiated the finance documentation. Norton Rose Fulbright also structured and drafted the intercreditor agreement setting out the relationship between the various lenders and the borrower.
