Singapore office boosts international arbitration practice with new partner hire

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has strengthened its international arbitration practice in Asia with the appointment of Kent Phillips as a Partner in Singapore. 

Kent, who joins from Hogan Lovells, is a highly regarded senior dispute resolution lawyer with more than 20 years of experience conducting arbitrations under leading institutional rules in all of the major seats, under both civil and common applicable laws. He regularly advises clients on complex and high-value commercial disputes across our clients’ key sectors and jurisdictions, including those related to the infrastructure, natural resources and energy sectors in Southeast Asia and India. 

Alongside his arbitration advocacy, Kent has now accumulated more than 30 appointments as arbitrator (sole, party and emergency) over the last 10 years. Kent holds full registration as a foreign lawyer to appear before the Singapore International Commercial Court. He is a director of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – Singapore branch, and Co-Chair of the International Bar Association's Asia Pacific Arbitration Group.
