Through our charitable initiative for 2018-2019 – Global Food Challenge – we are committed to fighting hunger and reducing food waste in our local communities. Our teams worldwide are engaged in a range of activities – helping at foodbanks, organizing food drives, raising funds for homeless shelters and reducing food waste at home as well as at work.
Listed below are the charities that we are currently supporting as part of the challenge. More will be added throughout the year.
Our Australian offices are supporting OzHarvest, a leading food rescue organisation, collecting excess food from commercial outlets and delivering it directly to more than 1300 charities supporting people in need across the country.
Calgary will be supporting the Leftover Foundation.
Vancouver is working with the Salvation Army Vancouver Harbour Light.
In Toronto the team will be supporting Community Food Centres Canada, Daily Bread Food Bank and Eden Food for Change.
Ottawa is supporting the Ottawa Food Bank.
In Montreal they are working with Centraide and supporting a local women’s shelter.
Nationally, Canada will be working with all local Food Banks in the cities in which they operate.
The Athens office is supporting Boroume (“We Can”) a non-profit organisation whose mission is to reduce food waste and to fight malnutrition in Greece.
The London office has partnered with the Trussell Trust who run a nearby foodbank. As well as collecting essential donations, teams are also volunteering at the foodbank on a weekly basis.
The Opera San Francesco Food Bank are being supported by our office in Milan.
Moscow are supporting Fair Help and are collecting food every second Monday.
The Warsaw office are partnering with Bank Zywnosci SOS w Warszawie (Warsaw Food Bank).
Hong Kong are supporting the charity Foodlink.
Jakarta has partnered with ACT for Humanity (ACT).
The Salvation Army is being supported by our office in Port Moseby.
Food and Trees for Africa is a social and environmental enterprise that addresses the issue of food security and environmental sustainability. They are being supported by our offices in South Africa.
Our US offices are supporting charities that work to reduce food waste and alleviate hunger in their local communities. While each office is working with different local charities, some are also working with national charities such as Meals on Wheels and Feeding America.
