Dr Martin Krause is an asset management and debt capital markets lawyer. He has specialised in open- and closed-end funds as well as in structured debt instruments looking at all relevant asset classes including real estate, renewables, credit exposures and other alternative investments. He structures and implements investment projects for asset managers, institutional investors (including fund due diligence) and distribution channels considering all relevant regulatory, legal, balance sheet and, where appropriate, fiscal aspects.
Martin's clients include international investment banks, asset managers and fund management companies as well as insurers and other institutional investors. With regard to insurers, Martin advises on the Investment Ordinance (Anlageverordung) and has a particular focus on Solvency II.
Martin joined the Frankfurt practice as a partner in 2008. He is qualified as a German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) and tax advisor (Steuerberater) and holds a German MBA (Dipl.-Kfm.).
