Energy Academy

Our Energy Academy is a comprehensive and innovative programme of industry-focused legal training designed to assist clients in adapting and developing in an ever-changing global energy market. The courses we offer as part of the Energy Academy are:

Foundation courses
Our foundation courses are aimed at junior to mid-level executives and designed to introduce them to the fundamentals of oil and gas, thermal power, renewables and financing energy projects. We run our foundation courses either as standalone one day programs or consecutively in one week in our major offices.

Expert courses
Our expert courses, known as Energy Academy Masterclasses, focus on development in specific areas of energy, including LNG; offshore wind; offshore oil & gas equipment; and project bonds.  We run our expert courses either as standalone one day programs or consecutively in one week in our major offices.

Since the launch of the Energy Academy, we have held more than 35 different programmes in numerous locations, including London, Houston, Paris, Dubai, Amsterdam, Dar es Salaam, Egypt, Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore. The Energy Academy was shortlisted for “Best client-facing business development campaign” by The Lawyer - Business Leadership awards 2015.

Technology Academy

Our Technology Academy covers a range of business and legal issues of relevance to companies in the technology sector, including:

  • recent developments in contract law
  • managing risk in relation to Big Data projects
  • strategies for multi-jurisdictional patent litigation
  • M&A in EMEA, US and emerging markets
  • how to deal with investigations and regulations

The Academy is structured around informative, interactive sessions and provides an excellent opportunity to engage with leading technology peers and lawyers. Academy speakers include partners from across our offices, all of whom are experienced practitioners in the area of technology and business law.

Every session is CPD accredited; delegates are welcome to attend part or all of the day. Attendance for the full day is 6.25 CPD hours.

Banking Academy
