The Energy Union

On 25 February 2015, the European Commission adopted a Framework Strategy for a Resilient Energy Union with a Forward-Looking Climate Change Policy (the Energy Union) which the European Council of Ministers decided to back on 20 March 2015.

The purpose of the Framework is to outline the EC’s vision of an Energy Union - one of the key priorities of President Juncker’s political guidelines - and the main actions that have to be taken in the next few years to achieve this goal.
