Norton Rose Canada is pleased to announce that Elisabeth Eljuri has been appointed Law Firm Leader of the Year, along with another seven Latin American Law Firm Leaders. Awarded by Latin Lawyer, one of the main legal publications in Latin America, this recognition acknowledges the excellent leadership skills law firm leaders have shown within their firms throughout the year. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 29 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
John Coleman, Managing Partner of Norton Rose Canada said:
‘’I wish to congratulate Elisabeth for this deserving recognition. Her knowledge of the Latin American legal market and her experience in the region certainly earned her this award. We are very proud to have her as one of the leaders in our firm.’’
Elisabeth Eljuri, Partner at the Caracas office of Despacho de Abogados Miembros de Norton Rose, S.C. said:
“This is clearly a reflection on the entire Caracas office and what it has become. We were four lawyers when we started and we have over 120 employees today, serving Venezuela and the region. It has been a team effort and we are very proud of what we have achieved. This is our fifteenth year in Caracas so this is a very timely honour. We live in a very challenging environment that requires creativity and leadership every step of the way.”
Elisabeth Eljuri is the Chair of the Latin American Practice of Norton Rose and the head of the Corporate Department of the Caracas office. In her new role as Chair, she is helping lead the growth of the firm in the evolving and expanding Latin American market and around the world.
