Alex Cull is an energy lawyer based in Singapore. He focuses on corporate transactions, project development, operations and financing in the oil and gas industry.
Alex works for a wide range of clients along the full length of the petroleum value chain, including national oil companies, oil majors, independents, private equity, traders and financial institutions. His primary focus is advising on acquisitions and divestments (including farmouts and swaps), joint operations, and commercialising gas through pipeline and LNG project development and offtake arrangements. He also has extensive experience in reserves based and project financing, pipeline transportation arrangements, and LNG and petroleum supply and trading.
Alex is recognised as a leading oil & gas lawyer in client surveys and legal directories. He has been working in the oil and gas industry in the Asia Pacific region since 1998, having been based in Singapore, Hong Kong and Perth. He has also worked on projects and transactions in Africa and the Americas. Alex is a member of a number of industry groups, such as the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and Resources and Energy Law Association Limited (AMPLA). He is also a regular speaker at industry conferences and private client workshops.
