Charlotte is a lawyer in the London office of the global financial services regulatory team.
Charlotte focusses on the retail practice and heads the regulatory transactions team. She helps financial sector clients with retail businesses understand and implement UK and EU regulatory requirements and manages regulatory change projects (including MiFID II, RDR, PRIIPs). Charlotte has particular expertise in distribution, consumer credit, senior managers regime, ring-fencing requirements, product governance and conduct risk.
Charlotte also helps predominantly private equity clients in M&A, IPOs, take-private activity, including co-ordinating global regulatory approvals.
As part of her wider experience since qualifying in 2001, Charlotte has worked at other leading global law firms in New Zealand, Dublin and London specialising in retail and wholesale financial regulation and corporate finance, banking and capital markets. She has also been an in-house lawyer for a private equity firm and was a regulator at the FCA specialising in retail conduct risk. Charlotte brings to the team a unique exposure to the full spectrum of retail products and services and a wide breadth of transactional and advisory experience. Charlotte regularly writes and speaks externally and trains on her areas of expertise and has co-authored a retail banking law handbook.
