Nelisile is an associate in the competition team in Johannesburg.

Nelisile joined us in 2015 to serve her articles of clerkship following which she was appointed as an associate in our team.

Nelisile has already gained experience in a range of competition law and anti-trust matters, including drafting of merger notifications to the competition authorities in South African, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania and COMESA.  Nelisile has experience in the equity, agriculture, global engineering and construction sectors.

She has also been involved in compliance investigations in relation to the forex trading complaint and post-dawn raid edible oils complaint.

Nelisile graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Laws in 2013 and a Masters in Commercial and Business Law in 2014/15.  In 2015 she graduated cum laude from the University of Bern with a Masters in International Law and Economics.  She has obtained a postgraduate certificate in mining tax law from the Mandela Institute of the University of the Witwatersrand in 2014.

Nelisile was awarded the Norton Rose Fulbright Scholarship in 2011 to 2014 and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO Scholarship in 2014.  She has also been awarded Dean's Commendation and is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
