Dan Metcalfe is a senior banking lawyer based in London. He focuses on natural resources, infrastructure (including telecoms and real estate development) and commodities, with a particular focus in emerging market jurisdictions and Africa.
Dan has experience across a vast range of jurisdictions within Africa. He has advised the lenders on the financing of the Boseto Copper Project in Botswana and continues to advise on all aspects of the restructuring. He has also advised the DFI and commercial bank lenders on the US$60 million acquisition and development finance facility to Eaton Towers in Uganda in relation to their towers network. Dan continues to advise several bank syndicates in relation to multi-jurisdictional borrowing base and collateral management facilities to Export Trading Group, and is advising a bidder in relation to the Shell oil field divestments in Nigeria.
