Amy Armitage is a dispute resolution lawyer based in London.  She specialises in construction and engineering dispute in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Amy has broad experience of all forms of dispute resolution including High Court litigation, international arbitration, adjudication and mediation.  

Amy has acted for the full range of contractors, subcontractors, employers, insurers and funders within the construction industry in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Amy has a Master's Degree in Construction Law and Arbitration from Kings College University, London. She was awarded the Philip Ranner Arbitration Prize (2010) by the Society of Construction Law.

Amy is a part time tutor and dissertation supervisor on the Masters programme in Construction Law and Arbitration at Kings College University London.

    • Acting on behalf of an international oil company in defence of high profile proceedings in the High Court brought by a substantial number of third party claimants arising out of an explosion at an oil storage depot in the UK.

    • Acting for a UK developer in court proceedings at the Technology and Construction Court relating to a defective M&E installation in a commercial building in London.

    • Acting for a contractor in a procurement challenge brought in the Technology and Construction Court against a local authority under the Public Procurement Regulations.

    • Acting for a UK energy company in respect of a dispute concerning the termination of a long term contract for the generation of power from gas produced at a UK landfill site.

    • Advising a French/Canadian contractor in relation to its rights and remedies in connection with the design and construction of a processing plant in Jordan.

    • Advising an Emirati marine terminal operator in relation to a number of disputes under two separate supply contracts in Australia and the UK.

    • Advising the supplier of a flight simulator in relation to a dispute concerning the supply of simulator to an international airline company.
