Jeffery Barratt is a banking lawyer based in London. He is our Senior Banking Partner.
Jeffery is active in the projects and banking markets having had over 20 years’ experience of leading teams in bringing projects to successful completion in a variety of different jurisdictions. He has worked on numerous Infrastructure power and energy deals across the world but in particular in Europe and the Middle East.
Jeffery is recognised internationally by all major directories as a leader in his specialised fields of project finance and banking with a particular ability to solve problems in complex, high profile and sensitive transactions. He was named as one of 100 global players in Chambers Global Guide to the world’s leading lawyers. Jeffery is ranked in Chambers and Partners legal directory where he is described as “remarkably experienced”.
Jeffery has been on the editorial board of Butterworths Journal of International Banking and Financial Law since 1988 and sits on the GCC and Projects/PPP Committees of TheCityUK. He has also sat on various law society training and banking committees. He chairs the MENA Committee and is a Board member of the International Project Finance Association. He is on the council of the Cook Society and represents the practice with and sits on the London Council of the Confederation of British Industry. He is also very active in supporting and raising money for the charities we are involved with including Volunteer Reading Help, the Dyspraxia Foundation, SnowCamp and Cricket-for-Change.
