Sam Eastwood is a dispute resolution lawyer based in London. He is experienced in handling a broad range of large commercial disputes for major corporations and financial institutions. He also heads our business ethics and anti-corruption group.
Sam's experience includes: pursuing and defending claims arising from significant corporate acquisitions; competition litigation; advising on joint venture and shareholder disputes; fraud investigation; seeking injunctive relief and the conduct of corporate investigations. Sam also specialises in anti-corruption issues in connection with companies’ internal compliance policies and procedures, international business transactions and internal corporate investigations.
Sam reports to the World Bank in his role as independent compliance monitor for Macmillan Publishers. He sat on the British Standards Institution’s panel for the drafting of the Anti-Bribery Standard (BS 10500) and has since its publication in November 2011 assisted the BSI with its successful pilot studies implementing the Standard.

Sam maintains a central role in the corporate integrity community, having established partnerships with Transparency International, the Institute of Business Ethics and the University College London. Sam sits on the Management Committee of the Centre for Ethics and Law at UCL, of which we are a founder member. He is also on the legal advisory board of SAI Global.
Sam is a qualified Solicitor Advocate and accredited Mediator.
