Nicholas Pincott is a construction and projects lawyer in the energy projects group based in London. He has handled a wide variety of energy, infrastructure and development projects.
Nick principally works on renewable energy projects. He has advised developers and financiers in relation to over 100 wind farm projects (including over 25 offshore wind farms in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, France, Taiwan and Canada). He advised The Crown Estate on Round 3 of offshore wind farm developments in the UK (for which his team was named Energy and Natural Resources Team of the Year 2011).
His work within the field of solar energy ranges from small scale rooftop mounted projects to large scale (over 80 MW) ground mounted installations. He has also advised on biomass, energy from waste, wave and tidal projects.
He is currently advising the Swansea tidal lagoon project on its multi contract procurement strategy for construction and O&M.
His thermal energy experience includes advising in relation to several power stations and gas storage projects.
