Alexandra Shields is a workplace relations lawyer based in Sydney.
Alexandra has strong experience in workplace litigation, including discrimination, sexual harassment and equal opportunity claims, unfair and unlawful dismissals and Consumer Law claims.
Alexandra regularly represents and advocates for clients in conciliations and hearings in the Australian Human Rights Commission, the Anti-Discrimination Board, the Administrative Decisions Tribunal, the NSW Industrial Relations Commission and within Fair Work Australia. In addition, Alexandra’s great knowledge include advising on and drafting contracts of employment, workplace policies and procedures and managing disciplinary and performance related issues.
Alexandra also regularly conducts training for clients in all workplace and discrimination related issues. Alexandra has a strong focus on government clients and in addition to employment matters, Alexandra has a particular background in Freedom of Information (GIPA) including specialised in-house experience within a government agency.
