Ramón Alvins Ramón joined our Caracas office as a partner in 2001. Previously, he practised at another international firm for 10 years and in a local firm for five years. He specializes in litigation and arbitration. He also has vast experience in corporate and civil law and in commercial and civil litigation (in matters related to property and family law) as well as labour and administrative law. He has participated in several procedures related to bankruptcy and reorganization files. In addition, Mr. Alvins has a strong background in insurance litigation.
Mr. Alvins has participated in arbitration procedures both in Venezuela and abroad and is frequently requested to advise on related matters. He has extensive experience in negotiating and obtaining settlements and agreements generally related to the aforementioned procedures. He has acted in constitutional injunctions and appeals for annulment.
Mr. Alvins served as a judge pro tem of the Commercial and Civil Court of Justice in First Instance of the judicial district of the Caracas Metropolitan area between 1999 and 2002.
