Bill Caudill, who practices in the Houston office, has a general tax practice, involving partnerships, oil and gas, real estate and tax-exempt organizations and work with the Internal Revenue Service. A partner since 1986, he also assists clients in bankruptcy and financially troubled commercial transactions.

  • Education

    Mr. Caudill received a B.S.B.A. in 1973 from the University of Arkansas and an M.P.A. (Dean's Award) in 1977 and a J.D. in 1978 from The University of Texas, where he was a member of the Texas Law Review, Chancellors and the Order of the Coif. He was admitted to practice law in Texas in 1978 and is a Certified Public Accountant.

  • Memberships and activities

    Mr. Caudill has chaired the State Bar of Texas' Section on Taxation and the ABA Tax Section's Committee on Partnerships and LLCs. He is nominated as Chair-Elect of the ABA Tax Section for election at the Annual Meeting in August 2015. He has also served as a member of the Council of the ABA Tax Section, and as Vice Chair (Continuing Legal Education) of the ABA Tax Section. He is currently serving as the Tax Section's Liaison to the AICPA and as a member of the National Conference of Lawyers and CPAs. He is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel.
