Chadbourne & Parke LLP is pleased to announce that Howard S. Beltzer has joined the firm’s Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring Group in New York. Mr. Beltzer joins Chadbourne from Mayer Brown, where he served as a partner in the Restructuring, Bankruptcy & Insolvency Practice.
Mr. Beltzer, who joins Chadbourne as Senior Counsel, has extensive experience with Chapter 11 proceedings and multinational bankruptcies and restructuring matters. His primary focus is bank representations, and he frequently acts for agent banks in syndicated facilities, out-of-court restructurings and in-court insolvency proceedings. He has also led numerous large debtor-side engagements, including representation of Linens 'n Things, Mervyn's, United Pan-Europe Communications (UPC), Stolt-Nielsen, Camelot Music and Aeroméxico, among many others.

Before joining Mayer Brown, he was co-head of the Global Finance and Restructuring Group at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, and previously served as head of the Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Group at White & Case LLP.
Mr. Beltzer is a member of the ABA, Section of Business Law and Business Bankruptcy Committee, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He is a graduate of Yale Law School and received his A.B. in Government from Harvard College.
