Chadbourne Expands Project Finance and Real Estate Team in New York

Chadbourne & Parke LLP is pleased to announce that Jeffrey R. Escobar has joined the New York office as counsel in the project finance group. Mr. Escobar joins the firm from Haynes and Boone LLP, where he served as counsel in the firm’s real estate and project finance and development practices.
Mr. Escobar advises real estate companies, joint ventures, institutional owners, closely-held developers, lenders, investors and private equity funds across the US and throughout the Americas on their deployment of capital on complex and large-scale projects. He has experience leading a wide range of energy, infrastructure, real estate, construction and development projects, from the construction of a professional sports stadium and the only aerial commuter tramway system in the country in New York City to the development and construction of large luxury apartment communities in Los Angeles County and energy facilities in the Gulf of Mexico.
Mr. Escobar joins Chadbourne’s market-leading project finance group in the critical role of a real estate construction and development transactions counsel. He will advise clients on strategies to deploy capital and invest in the development and construction of real estate, projects, public-private partnerships and other business opportunities.

Mr. Escobar has written and presented on a range of topics relating to the real estate and construction industry. He received his B.A. phi beta kappa from the University of Washington, and received his J.D. with honors from the New England School of Law.
