Brandy Nolan is a Senior Associate in the Dallas office. She focuses on intellectual property matters. Her experience includes patent litigation, patent prosecution, patent review proceedings before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and other technology related transactions.  Additional experience comes from her former position as a senior product development engineer for the 3M Company, where her work encompassed non-woven products and technologies.  Brandy is also a named inventor on two issued U.S. patents.

    Brandy served as the Executive Articles Editor for the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal and as a Legal Research & Legal Writing Teaching Quizmaster while at the University of Texas. She was a Thad T. Hutcheson Moot Court 2007 Semi-Finalist and 2009 Student Director and Susman Godfrey Moot Court 2008 Quarter-Finalist. Also during law school, Brandy was a part of the Thurgood Marshall Legal Society and a member of the Board of Advocates. She received honors as a member of the President's and Dean's Honor Rolls at the University of Oklahoma, where she was also a member of the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society and National Society of Black Engineers.

    • Represented pro bono clients in hearings, mediation, and/or trial concerning divorce, probate, and a contract dispute
    • Conducted factual investigations, managed complex discovery, worked with expert witnesses, facilitated claim construction activities, and drafted procedural and dispositive motions.
