Ayman Idlbi is a corporate lawyer based in Montreal. He focuses on the areas of corporate financing, financial services, general commercial and banking law, aviation and space regulations, and intellectual property.

Ayman acts as counsel representing borrowers and financial institutions in syndicated loans, securitization, cross-border leasing transactions and syndication, and sub-participation transactions.

He also provides counsel and opinions related to the patentability of inventions, the validity of patents, the risks of patent infringement, and freedom-to-operate for a wide variety of physical products and processes.

Prior to joining the corporate group, Ayman drafted and prosecuted mechanical and electromechanical patent applications and industrial designs for many jurisdictions.

With a background and master's degree in aerospace engineering, Ayman's experience is particularly suited to advise on new and emerging technologies, such as in aviation, aerospace and aeronautical arts.

In addition to his commercial and corporate practice, Ayman advises on air regulations, primarily related to commercial drone operations.

Ayman started his career in research and development at a company that designed and manufactured aircraft engines, and thereafter pursued activities in design engineering, while he also worked at an aircraft manufacturer.
