Biography

Iwan Davies maintains a broad commercial technology and intellectual property law practice. He has experience in reviewing and preparing a variety of commercial agreements, such as licensing agreements, collaboration agreements, master services agreements, sponsorship agreements, consulting agreements, ambassador agreements, software licence and services agreements, confidentiality agreements and website terms of use. Mr. Davies also has experience advising on IP and IT considerations in mergers and acquisitions, licensing and IP transactions.

Mr. Davies is also a registered trademark agent and regularly assists clients with brand clearance, protection, licensing and enforcement, including online enforcement activities. He also advises on regulatory considerations pertaining to brands and Canadian consumer markets, such as consumer protection and ad-marketing law.

Prior to entering law school, Mr. Davies completed his bachelors of civil engineering at McGill University, following which he worked as a construction project manager for a national energy firm.
