Biography

Marie-Krystel Ouellet practises employment and labour law, with a focus on grievance arbitration, employment standards and occupational health and safety. In recent years, she has developed particular knowledge of the education sector by acting for a number of school boards in grievance arbitrations and by providing them with legal opinions.

Ms. Ouellet also has skills in municipal labour relations.  Early on in her career, she concentrated on municipal, environmental and public law.

Ms. Ouellet lends employers support in the daily management of their labour or employment relations, whether it be disciplinary sanctions, administrative measures, dismissals, the drafting of various policies (workplace harassment, absenteeism, etc.), human rights and freedoms, harassment or occupational health and safety issues.

She frequently gives lectures to employer associations and groups on a number of topics, notably on managing psychological harassment, drug and alcohol use in the workplace and employment-related obligations.
