Josh Proud is a corporate lawyer in our Toronto office. He is developing a practice with a focus on private equity, mergers and acquisitions and shareholder activism.

Josh joined our office as a summer student in 2021 and returned as an articling student in 2022-2023 after receiving his J.D. degree from the University of Ottawa. During his articles, Josh completed a secondment at the Royal Bank of Canada, where he gained experience working on a variety of business law matters.

Prior to law school, Josh worked as an on-board diagnostic calibration engineer at a well-known American automotive company in Michigan.
