Frank Bayer is a certified tax advisor (Steuerberater) in our Munich tax team.

He has been specialising in advice on M&A transactions for 15 years. His advice for international private equity funds, institutional financial investors and strategic investors covers the whole range of tax-related acquisition structuring and the subsequent fiscal integration of the acquired company into the existing portfolio. He also advises on tax due diligence reviews and on the negotiation of contracts with regard to tax issues. He puts a special focus on tax structuring of real estate transactions.

Moreover, Frank advises his clients on general corporate tax issues, mainly with regard to tax structuring and restructuring, and in tax audits. Another focus is the tax-related succession advice for small and medium-sized entrepreneurial families.

Frank publishes articles in professional journals and commentary handbooks. For the University of Münster, he works as a lecturer at JurGrad gGmbH.

He studied business administration at the University of Regensburg (Dipl.-Kfm., 1996) and then graduated from the University of Bamberg with a doctorate (Dr. rer. pol., 1999). His professional career includes acting for one of the Big Four audit companies and an M&A-focussed legal practice. He is appointed as a certified tax advisor (Steuerberater, 2002), CPA (2004) and German certified public accountant (Wirtschaftsprüfer, 2005). Frank joined us in 2013.

He is a member of the Munich Chamber for Tax Advisors (Steuerberaterkammer München), the Chamber of Public Accountants (Wirtschaftsprüferkammer), the Institute of Public Auditors (Institut der Wirtschaftsprüfer) and the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy. Besides his mother tongue German, he is fluent in English.
