Norton Rose Fulbright advises Canadian Linamar Corporation on the acquisition of Georg Fischer’s Leipzig Casting Facility

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Linamar Corporation based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, in connection with its proposed acquisition of Georg Fischer’s casting facility in Leipzig.
Linamar Corporation is a globally active company specializing in precision technologies and engineered products. The acquisition underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its production capacity in Europe, strengthening its position as a global provider of advanced manufacturing technologies, and continuing to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions for industrial applications.
With the integration of the Leipzig facility, Linamar Corporation will now be able to offer large ductile iron castings for heavy industrial applications, both on-highway and off-highway. The 45 million Euro transaction also represents a significant strategic step for Linamar Corporation in expanding its casting solutions portfolio.
