Annual Franchising Code Compliance

Following the amendment of the Franchising Code of Conduct in April 2022, franchisors are now required to upload information about their franchise system to the Franchise Disclosure Register.

Most franchisors will need to prepare and submit information for inclusion on the Register on or before 14 November 2022, in addition to their annual compliance obligations.

Given the level of confusion in the market relating to the registration process, and annual compliance obligations generally, this webinar will:

• provide a refresher and overview of key aspects of the annual compliance and disclosure update process for franchisors;
• address common queries raised by franchisors regarding marketing fund, rebate and capital expenditure disclosure obligations;
• clarify the new requirements relating to the Franchise Disclosure Register. The FCA released a first look at the Franchise Disclosure Register and we will work through some practical questions about the register
• based on the current draft, as well as common questions and misconceptions about the register.
