Norton Rose Fulbright and Matheson advise Kessler + Co. on acquisition of Irish Timoney Group

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright, together with Irish law firm Matheson, has advised the German engineering company Kessler + Co. on the acquisition of Irish chassis specialist Timoney Dynamic Solutions Ltd. The combination of the two companies strengthens their offering, particularly in the off-highway and defence sector. Timoney will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary within the Kessler Group.
Kessler + Co is a leading manufacturer of driveline components and control software for heavy-duty mobile vehicles. Typical applications include construction and material handling machines, mobile cranes, as well as underground mining and armoured vehicles. The internationally active German family business has around 1,000 employees.
Timoney Dynamic Solutions is an Irish specialist in undercarriage development and mobility solutions. The company has been providing design, simulation, validation and prototyping of chassis systems for defence and selected civil applications for over 50 years.
Timoney contributes extensive vehicle system knowledge and decades of experience in vehicle dynamics, independent suspension design, and modular mobility platforms. Kessler complements these strengths with a lean, flexible manufacturing operation featuring high in-house value creation across five production facilities, delivering precision and World-renowned quality.
Kessler + Co. was legally advised by an international team from Norton Rose Fulbright led by Munich partner Bernd Dreier (Corporate/M&A). The advice was provided jointly with the Irish colleagues from Matheson LLP under the leadership of partner Brian McCloskey.
